Heritage Open Days
The Three Solway Churches (St Michael's Burgh-by-Sands, St Mary's Beaumont and St Michael's Bowness-on-Solway) take part in the national Heritage Open Days scheme.
All three offer light refreshments and a steward to welcome visitors and show them round if required. Trained guides are also on duty at St. Michael’s Burgh-by-Sands.
Heritage Open Days 2022
St. Michael’s Church, Burgh-by-Sands (11am to 3pm Friday 9th September, St Mary's Beaumont (11am to 3pm Saturday 10th September), and St. Michael’s Church, Bowness-on-Solway, (10am to 4pm Saturday 17th September) are all looking forward to welcoming visitors under the Heritage Open Days project. Guided visits to all churches will be available. Burgh Church has disabled access and WC facilities,

St Michael's Bowness-on-Solway
Guides on duty at most times., light refreshments. On Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th September there is an Art Trail round craft and artists' studios in the Bowness area.
